TECHNOLOGY

Technology

We are proud to offer the best in dental technology to Amarillo and the surrounding area.

SOLEA

CEREC System technology for dental impressions

The first all-tissue laser developed specifically for dentistry, Solea can be used to provide anesthesia-free fillings and is perfect for kids as well as nervous adults. It doesn’t create the sound or vibration associated with traditional drills, or the aerosols that can contain bacteria and viruses. Also, you won’t be numb, so you can talk, eat, and resume normal activities as soon as you leave the office!

CEREC

CEREC System technology for dental impressions

This system utilizes digital impressions (No messy impression materials!) and CAD-CAM technology to design and manufacture onlays, crowns, veneers, and bridges right here in our office. These beautiful, full-ceramic restorations are then fired in an oven to achieve maximum strength. Most procedures take less than two hours and are completed in one visit with no temporaries.

Cone-beam 3D (CT Scan)

Cone Beam 3d x-ray of teeth

An improvement over traditional panoramic x-rays, the Cone-beam provides a three-dimensional view of the face and neck, enabling detection of fractures and pathology that two-dimensional radiographs often miss.

Digital X-Rays

Unlike x-rays taken with film, digital sensors enable your images to be immediately viewed on the monitor. Digital sensors also require less radiation than film and give the doctor better diagnostic information to detect decay or infection.

Intra-oral Camera

Intra-oral Camera for dental treatment.

Allows the clinician to show you exactly what they see.

GLO

GLO whitening system

The GLO whitening system utilizes warming LED light to accelerate the whitening effects of hydrogen peroxide gel. The process begins with a one-hour, in-office treatment where most patients see immediate results. The tray is then yours to use for at-home touch-up treatments, and extra whitening gel can be ordered through our office.

Laser

SiroLaser speeds the healing process of soft tissue in the mouth.

Our SiroLaser can be used for reducing bacteria and inflammation in periodontal pockets, speeding the healing process. It is also used to desensitize teeth, reduce the duration of cold sore outbreaks, and to perform pain free soft tissue procedures such as biopsies.

Perio Protect

Perio Protect take-home trays for improved gum health.

Take-home trays, similar to whitening trays, that introduce a mild hydrogen peroxide gel into the periodontal sulcus. Used for ten minutes each day, this will kill harmful bacteria (as well as the coronavirus that causes Covid-19) and help to preserve healthy bone, gums, and implants. A welcome side-effect – they will whiten your teeth over time too!

Arestin

Arestin fights tooth infection and speeds healing.

Another adjunct to periodontal therapy, Arestin is a tiny dose of antibiotics (minocycline) introduced directly into the pocket around a tooth to combat infection, reduce pocket depth, and speed healing.

N20 sedation

Woman receiving N2O sedation for dental procedure.

We offer nitrous oxide/oxygen sedation for our patients who need a little help relaxing during their appointment. Breathing “laughing gas” during dental treatment is an extremely safe, time-tested technique for reducing stress and discomfort while in the chair. You will not go to sleep, but will just be very relaxed. At the end of the procedure, you will breathe pure oxygen for a few minutes until you feel back to normal. Unlike other sedation techniques involving pills or IVs, you will not have any lingering effects and can drive yourself home.
