Implants

A dental implant is a small titanium post, similar to a screw, that is used to replace the root of a missing tooth. After Dr. Banks places your implant, about four months are allowed for the bone to integrate, or attach to the implant. An abutment is then placed on the implant, and a crown is made the same day to replace the missing tooth. Multiple implants can also be used to anchor bridges or removable dentures. As long as you have adequate bone in the area of a missing tooth, this is an excellent permanent treatment option.
